The program is designed for children to progress to higher levels, eventually learning pointe and pas de deux (partnering). Children who want to advance in ballet should take a minimum of two lessons per week.

We also offer Street Jazz classes for children 8 yrs and older. In addition, teens may take Tap, Ballroom and Tango alongside adults.

Ballet I, II, III – ultimately we will have graded levels, but meanwhile will do our best to place your child in the most appropriate class according to age and level of experience.

Other Dance Discplines: Progress in all these classes would be facilitated by taking at least one ballet class to help with developing the strength, flexibliity, body awareness, coordination, spatial and rhythmic awareness necessary to master these styles. Ballet is the base.

Tap
Drill of elementary and compound tap movements developing proficiency to begin learning combinations. Develop rhythmic acuity and learn to combine tapping with basic dance movements. Levels will vary with previous experience of students.

Theatre Dance
Standard jazz class warm-up followed by drill of classic theatre dance steps. Age appropriate combinations from Vaudeville and English Music Hall to classic and modern Broadway, West End and Hollywood musicals.

Older Teens may also be permitted to try Adult Ballroom Basics and Argentine Tango Fundamentals (See Adult Division)
